DIY Disco Snorkel Project

Im sure loads of these have been done, but i'll do my log anyway.

Got a 2 metre length of 68mm Drain pipe
1 metre of 70mm radiator hose
loadsa 70mm jubilee clips
Gonna buy some bends from BNQ for ghetto top
Tube of black silicone sealant.


So far just a load of bits, nothing actually done to the car.

Can i feel the snorkel underneath the wing all the way to the bottom, using the existing hole? or will it be really tight?

So far iv made up a couple of brackets that will support the snorkel to the passenger A-post. Gonna drill a couple of holes in the A-post. Bolt the brackets through, then silicone them up to prevent water intake when raining.

Cheers mate, Good read. I got a 300Tdi though so different hole for the air filter intake. Will the pipe go that far down the wing?

Pretty much finished. Jus need to clean up edges of aperture and get a couple more jubilee clips. Ghetto ftw
