DIY car garage......

Talked to my local garage about doing that, he said the insurance, tool hire/damage and all the rest just didn't make it worth it.. bloody shame i have no garage ;)

The mechanic I use charges £25 an hour, for £10 extra I'd sooner pay him to skin his knuckles

Sounds OK for something simple like an oil change but I wouldn't want it stuck on a ramp with a bearing in bits to find out it'll be 2 days to get a new one in

Fcuk me thats literally right across the street from my work. Happy days :D if i didnt already have access to a garage id pay for it :p.

Any landyzone members using it just let me know and youre more than welcome to all the brews you can eat ;)

I think i might be sorted for a place to do the engine change - but ..........
Tools/facilities/over night charges/charge per day etc...............

(might have to look at doing the engine change there if the offer of a garage falls through :( )

Really don't want to have to do it outside in the rain :(

Well......... did a bit of searching on the interwebs and have found this one: Find us - u-do-it, DIY car repair workshop and car maintenance courses

Which is 10mins from where i am now :)

Just phoned him up and i can have a space there for 2 days with the use of an engine lift and tools for £100 :)

So got a few options to look at now :)

Cheers

err car workshops... !"!!! training..... !!!!

Get him to pay you 100 and he can have his grunts do all the work for you :)

Have decided to go for the DIY garage in Paisley for 2 days to do the engine work and swap - getting the engine sent straight there too :)

Be a bit easier to do it there i think :)
