Divx files will not play

Hi
I have transferred Divx files to a usb drive but when In try to play them first of all it finds the file displays for one second then errors and says it cannot find the file or the folder. The USB cannot then be used for anything unless unplugged and plugged in again.
I can play all my music files no problem.
I am using Divx converter to convert the file

Trying to play them in my discovery 4 via the USB slot

It'll probably say what files the unit supports in the handbook.
