Distributor on a Disco 1

Hi All,

I have a 1998 Disco 1, 3.9 V8.

I have a quick question about the distributor.



As you can see the vac pipe connects to the side of the distributor, but what's the other bit sticking out of the distributor, should there be another pipe or something connected to that?

Badly explained I know for that I apologies.

I can't see anything on rave or in Haynes to say what it's for.

Ok, I found a breakdown of the distributor on rave and it looks like its just part of the vacuum unit.
