I've owned 110's a 90 & a 3 200tdi discos. all have been std with the execption of the 110's having HD rer springs & this disco having 235/70/16's fitted and they have all perforned equally well off road the 110 was best for carrying loads of gear. the disco are comfier and the 90 had the best turning circle. but on a drivable greenlane none of them were better than the others.

It's not until you get in to extreme P&P or really bad lanes (that yu shouldn't be on anyway) that the 90's come into their own.

I've just spent the weekend in Wales on 3 AT's & a Road tire and never missed a beat.
xcept when you tried to squeeze yer fat disco through a gap to narrow for it bumping topcats fender:D

Disco definetly wins it on the comfort front, off-road my 'standard' disco grounds out on the tow bar a bit, but, it has to be kept 'standard' to keep the gf happy. It does, however, make an excellent tow vehicle for taking the series long distances.

The series i find is actually a lot more fun than a defender (yes i have owned one), not as easy to extremly modifiy it, but, bouncing around on leafs in something which is nearly 50 years old and watching people in 5 year old defenders blowing up bits of engines and getting stuck in things you can drive through / up is extremly satisfying.

comes down to what you need, what you can afford and what floats your boat.

I was set up Ya honor. I reckon someone shoved the backend back down the slope as I was carefully picking my route thru the Gate.

Or the fact he boight loads of defender stickers, & NO!! discovery stickers could have had a bearing on it. :D :D
