hey, what sort of modifications would i have to make to get some 35's to work on my discovery 1?
i have a 2" lift on at the moment and was thinking of putting on a 2" spring spacer then maybe chopping the arch's.
would the drivetrain and gearing hold up to tires this big?
what sorts of problems would i get?

your gearing will be altered a lot, as long as they clear the body work and radius arms ok, you will need need to extend your front brake lines. as for your body lift go for 45mm rather than 2" there is a lot less work involved.

yeah i've seen that first link so i know that i could get them to fit. i'm really more worried about blowing the diffs or axle/gear problems.
unimog axles would be amazing but idk if i can afford that.
i didnt really wanna do a body lift, i thought a 2" spring spacer would be better?

iv got 35" tyres on my 300 tdi , it has a 4" suspention lift only , the arches have been cut alot and all the brake lines lowerd
im also running a range rover rear diff coupling as it has a uj instead off the disco rubber coupling , gives it a bit more movment
as for the gearing , i cant realy use 5th as it just hasnt got the power to pull it , iv had to wind the pump up and its made a big difference , my next thing to do is either change to diffs to 4.11 or change the transfer box to a defender one so i can get my gears back

ah that maybe different then , the gearing might not be so much of a problem
u will find that u get through ujs fast if u do the spring spacer option , but at £6 a go and there not hard to change
iv not got a body lift just the 4" suspention lift and i dont get any problems with anything rubbing
