hi every one ive just fitted a dap discrete winch mount with a super winch 8500 and ive been told buy a few people now that i need to upgrade my front springs ??? is this write it feels ok but you can tel the extra weight is there.. please respond thanks:confused:

It's entirely up to you. with std springs the front will sag slightly, over time that sag will become more pronounced. If you can live with it then you don't need to change the springs. However If I were to fit a winch I would opt for HD springs on the front to counter the effects of the extra weight. It's a simple job to do. You don't even need spring compressors and the only nuts you'll need to undo is the lower shocker nuts.

I agree,

you need to get the uprated springs for the front, I'm looking at changing mine when I fit the winch as my passenger side one has drooped and sits lower than the drivers

any photos of the installation?
