Hi I've been lurking around here for a few months now and finding lots of great ideas which have been really helpful but I've now come against a brick wall. My 2000 Td 5 (110 000 miles fsh ) intermitantly misfires, loses power and sometimes dies completely it will always start up 20, 30, 40 minutes later and then run happly for another few weeks or months. Occasionaly I can drive through it, it'll cruse at fifty or so but there's no power then after a few minutes it just come back to life like someone's just flicked a switch.
There seems to be no consistant trigger to it, sometimes it'll happen straight out of the house sometimes after a 300mile trip.
I've followed all the advice on here so I've changed the fuel filter, had the fuel pump changed, cleaned oil out of the harness ecu plug and had a new injector harness fitted and it's still doing it.
What the .... do I try next !
