Discovery one....... woes lol

Ladies and gentlemen!!.... i am now the very proud owner of a 1997 3 door Discovery 1.... i have a RAFT of questions hence me creating this post so please dont bite my head off as im not overly great at navigating the site.... anywho..... i need to rplace the spring hangers on the rear (where the hell does ones source such an item) or i would be interested in a full chassis, i am having a wee bit of an issue with the brakes (namely i almost have no brakes) pads seem fine as do the discs and the fluid level..... that said, myabe she just needs bled, any other relevant information would be GREATLY appreciated

Ok spring hangers, have coil springs? Perhaps u can post a photo of what u mean.
With the brakes a full fluid change is a good starting point, and after that, the calliper pistons and pads can move forwards/backwards.

Spring hangers are on ebay mate. Inside out, jgs, foundry all sell them I think. Buy bump stop bracket whilst there. If hanger is gone it’s likely rails are gone there too.
PM if you like as I’ve done all this and can help you out with the sections that are strengthened etc. you’ll find there is angle in the corners on the main rail in this location. You’ll also have the crush tubes there too.
