Hello everyone, im a ne Land Rover driver just got a 97 disco a couple of months ago. Problem is going from 1st to second it crunches a bit but its fine going every other gear even 3rd back to second. It goes into 2nd ok if i let the revs drop right down below 1ooorpm. Im thinking its the clutch but relying on some better experience on land rovers. Any help or remidies much appreciated thanks. Gary

It's a common thing that you can overcome by changing gear a bit earlier. It is NOT a sign of imminent gearbox failure so don't panic.
My LT77 box does the same thing and yours is the later R380 so as you can see the new improved box is not. Just take it easy when changing gear, also check it has the right oil in it, many people use EP 90 in the gearboxes and your car IIRC should auto transmision fluid.
