Hi All,

Just purchased a 1998 Disco Commercial, all the back has been pannelled and carpeted out and im looking at taking it away for a few nights camping!!
Has anyone else done this or know if a rock n roll bed from a camper will fir into it?
I'm 6ft so think i may be a bit too long for it with out pushing the front seats forward!!

Any help would be great

Its a little bit small inside for anything meaningful, I'd suggest a tent! A rock and roll bed's going to sit a little higher than the original, giving headroom problems. And there's no standing space at all, etc. Dare I say caravan or trailer tent too (I'd never tow one though).

Had 10 8ft x 2ft sheets of flooring grade chipboard in my disco this week so 6ft int a problem wind front seat all the way back and build something that will lay on top of seat.

Being a 98 it may depend on whether it's a Series 1 or Series 2 - which has 6-7" more rear overhang. I tried sleeping in back of my Series 1 (albeit with rear seat in and folded) but there wasn't enough room - that was sleeping corner to corner and I'm only 5' 9". In a Series 2 with no rear seat in I guess you've got an extra foot or so to play with.

Erm don't think so!! push front seats as far forwards as they'll go and tip em forwards (3 door obviously) or wind the backs as far forwards as they'll go. Lay the backs of the rear seats down and have something in the back the same height as the folded down seats (I have four Ammo boxes) and you can fit a double airbed in the back of a discovery 1.
