hi ya,

i've been removing my old floor this week, not gone too bad.:)

i have come to a problem with getting the rear seat belts off the mountings :( .
i've used the torc fittings one the one and it came out so far then rounded off!!! now stumped  .
tryed the other and broke the torc fitting, nothing else i have seems to fit
them.

so at the moment i have the rear seat belt fittings in situ with a square of floor attached.

ideas/ suggesteions please!!!!!!!!

once these are out can start putting back together.

try detaching them where they bolt to the chassis and then you can get em in a vice and have a better chance of getting them undone.

I couldn't detach mine from the chassis so I angle-ground through the torx bolt so that I could take apart the top section of the assy.

Then refitted with new bolts - worked for me:D

hi ya

got one belt off at mo.... used hacksaw.... got to gring remained off and drill new hole for bolt....

got too dark to start the other one...... will try tomorrow.

once the other is off can start tidying the remaining sides for new floor to go back in.

been doing other jobs in between too,

cheers mark

hi all,

got both out now !!!!! at last....

drilled out bolts....... ready to put new nuts and bolts in wher floor goes back.

been tidying the outer edges today, welding some small patches back in place
took bit longer than most as not the best at welding (still learning & restricted movement)
put small plate on rear crossmember judy under the plastic trim that goes from body to bumper.

thats it for today as run out of wire!!! just primed some places that have been tidyed ready for hammerright next.

Just make sure you use high tensile bolts, remember this is the seat belts your messing with.
