Hi does any body now weather its a nut and bolt to get the rear bumper of a 1994 discovery 300tdi as it all seems to be turning:doh:

Chances are they're rusted tight, best get some new M10 nut's/bolt's, as they will more than likely break when they eventually come free...

Hi yes there turning but not coming un done as if the nut on the back side has broke and cant get me grinder in

Maybe a nut splitter? that's what I'm going to use I've got the same job to remove the rear bumper before winter, as I need to weld a patch onto the cross member.

just got a new rear body crossmember hoping to fit this weekend

Im hoping a couple of patches will suffice, my local Indy reckon's cross member is solid & patchable (I can't weld ... yet). Where did you get your cross member from?

If you want it welding and its just a patch or something, let me know because I'm not too far away from you. Or do you have a welder and all the gear (gas, etc) and want to learn, in which case no worries!

Your welding service's would be much appreciated Paul, I was going to get my local Indy to do it (cheaper than buying a welder N bits). BUT it all depend's on what I find when I remove the bumper, from what I can see/feel it's just the top of the cross member. (Need to pay for kids holiday 1st, so will be end of summer hol's when it get's done). Local Indy has had a look at it and reckon's it's not a big job, as fortunately my Disco's quite a tidy one. If I could PM you when I've removed bumper and got cash at the ready that'd be great...

hows your rear floor

Rear floor is surprisingly good, only got 4 x 50p sized holes in it (about 3-4 inch's from rear cross member), but the 3rd rear floor strap is totally gone. Overall my Disco for it's year is a very clean example.

just took some now with the rear bumper of but cant get it to upload the pics for got the before and after pics. as i was trying to get it done in a day as the wife wanted to go shoping this morning, went and bought a new angle grinder from machine mart and it wont work, so that set me back but i got there in the end just got to sought the bolts on the bumper:doh:
