I jet was the crud off but that's about it, every time he sees it there is something new and shiny on it so he knows I look after it.
Every time he see’s mine he struggles to work out what hasn’t been changed or upgraded from last time

Took the opportunity to clean up the caliper that suffered some damage, seems to be ok! Looks better now.
Also may as well take the oppertunity to show off the new motor lol, taken a few weeks ago in Trebarwith Cornwall whilst on holiday. Didn't skip a beat. Wish I took the landy though, the lanes around here must be insane!
Not quite the same as a landy I know, but I needed a decent daily and something with a bit of a kick
While the wheel's off, I'd take the trouble to clean up the hub face where the wheel sits, and get it flat at least, especially as they're steel wheels and seat right back onto the hub. Then check/do the rest.
Pet peeve time ... I reckon a lot of steering wheel wobble and general 'wheel imbalance' moans and groans from people I've known was down to basic and simple wheel mount and hub area sloppiness, especially at the front. I'd clean the stud threads up too and make sure the wheel nuts are clean threaded, rusty on the outside don't matter too much, but rusty threads is a no-no for me. Clean 'em with brake cleaner, maybe chase them with a die, another quick spray clean, wire brush etc then a light oiling (3 in 1 is good enough) and wipe the excess oil off with a cloth/paper towel.
Job's a good 'un for ages after .. )
You say the tyre's to be re-seated, ask them if the wheel inside needs dressing, cleaning with a wire wheel/grinder. Makes a huge difference.
Very nice car mate do these have the same coil pack issues and oil pump pick up problems as the old 1.8t?
Oil pickup pipe is a fair job to do
