Discovery 3 towbar

Hi all.

We have just bought a Disco 3 2.7 TDV6 HSE on an 05 plate.

I have been doing some research on towbars and have gotten a little confused.

Can anyone tell me what I need to fit and whether the wiring is already in place?

I read somewhere that the wiring is in one of the rear lights and are just push fit connectors?

The back of the car seems to have a large metal plate behind the bumper, does a towbar attach to this normally?

Just need the towbar itself, it plugs into a slot on the bottom of the plate that probably will have a red plastic insert in it

Motivated by your response I have just removed the black plastic cover and as you said the wiring is all there. Just need to buy the plug in bar.

My disco 3 has a tow bar in the boot stowed away and all my electrics are behind the plastic cover in the bumper

Yeah it might be specked with a towbar in one of the small black covers at the rear
