Discovery 3 gearbox

My Discovery 3 feels as though it is driving over a cattle grid when on the road. Local garage says it needs a "double flush" of the gearbox. Just wondered what this is and why it needs it? Also, what is happening to cause the "cattle grid" feeling?

consult transmition specialist , not realy local garage problem as they will probably be guesing

Yep, needs to go to an auto box specialist but my guess will be down to either blocked oil filter causing low oil pressure or blocked oil ways stopping the box from changing gears correctly, basically it will be engaging/disengaging gears and friction plates due to the oil pressure being low... thats my guess anyway....
