huv ye no got any cobbler shops roun' your way that does the replacement remote key fob thingies?

no sure, but did ye get an owners manwell wi' yer motor? Is thur no summit aboot the key fobs in it?

Yep. gives various pointers for re-programming existinf fob to alarm and immob, how to use key if fob battery fails but by all accounts a replacement without the original barcode tag is very expensive and only available from LR dealer, but I dont want to pay that kind of ransom if i dont need to

Dinnae ken too much aboot that kinna thing masel', but ah've seen a couple o' cobbler shops sellin' replacement remote fobs fur rover's, just wondered if ye hud any up your way so's ye could maybe ask them if naebudy replies tae this

on the series 2 disco - the keyfob needs to be programmed to the vehicle - main dealer joby (or any independant with diagnostic kit)

Does anyone know of an agent in SW Scotland that can program the keyfob, other than the dealer, Parks just quoted me over £130 for supply and program

would the key for disco in usa be the same, coz i can get new and uncut fob/key for around forty from usa?

You need the barcode to program the fob, if the fob you bought on ebay doesn't have the barcode then it's useless

Oh well looks like I have to pay the main stealers for key and programming :-(

Hi i got my spare one off ebay and got it reprogrammed at pennine 4x4 in Halifax all they did was plug computer into car and it sences the key and reprogrames it about 3 mins work in all. All you need to do then is to buy and get a blade cut to fit in the fob.

By the way it didnt have barcode but if you take back off there is a little sticker inside with a number on it thats all you need
