Discovery 2 swing away tyre carrier?

Hi all - I have added a Disco 2 TD5 to the Defender in the household and would like to get the 18" spare off the back door. However, I can't seem to find a source for a swing away rear spare carrier - all my searches come up with Defender mounts.

Is the Disco 2 door that much stronger that no separate carrier was ever needed?

I'm also looking for the crossbars for the OEM roof rails. They have been discontinued but there seem to be a variety of aftermarket options. What is preferred? - Thx - SteveP - W Berks

I use 'Thule' cross bars. Bought them for my Zafira but they fit the Disco. Easy to fit and adjust and have lockable clamps on each end. I only have a roof box on it so I guess it depends what you want on the roof too.
There's an online shop 'theroofboxcompany' or similar that are good for price. Sadly I paid full whack at Halfords for mine as bought them the night before a holiday when we realsied we coudn't fit everything in the boot and had to borrow a roof box :doh:
