DISCOVERY 2 REMOTE ENTRY ISSUES

Hi guys , i have recently had problems with remote entry,only able to gain entry holding the fob to the roof, at the same time i discoverd my key wont open the door lock, and by accident that i can take the key out and leave the engine running Grrrrr , i know it never rains, as i only have one foband dont have a nancom is there anyway of testing to see if its the for or transponder?, 2nd can you replace the transponder with a universal key less replacement system ? iknow its a lot for a first post , i will be replaceing door lock and ignition barrel when i source a set T.I.A

Hi, Assuming the batteries in the remote is ok -check the receiver earth which is located under the headlining in front of the rear sunroof. Have you tried your second key?
If you need to replace the reciever it's just plug & play -no programmiong required.

Hi Griff only have the one key and fob lost the other in house move

RF test with a nanocom or Hawkeye. As suggested check the receiver to see what it looks like and clean earth
