Today while parking my 2002 face lift D2 I stalled while reversing. When I went to restart the disco it would turn over but felt like in gear chugging forward and would start while clutch was pressed but was engaged in a forward gear which one I don't know.
I could not select any gear but when the gear stick was left in neutral the disco would move forward and would not stay running unless the clutch was pressed.
After this I selected low box and tried to move the disco forward as was blocking the street but started hopping forward so I pressed the clutch again and selected high box again and suddenly I can select any gear and drives perfect.
Does anyone have any idea what would cause this to happen?
I don't think there is cdl on my D2 if that makes any difference
