Discovery 2 Calibration of ride height sensors using Nanocom

I have changed the ride height sensors on my (2003) Discovery 2 (disconnected battery first).

I think that I have made a mistake by plugging in the Nanocom and trying to adjust ride height first instead of just starting up the car and seeing what happens. The rear suspension now goes too high and I have had to stop it for fear of over pressurising.

I am assuming that it is possible to calibrate the new ride height sensors with the Nanocom.

What I really need is a lesson in the use of the Nanocom and wondered if there is anybody in the Abingdon/Oxfordshire area who is prepared to help me?
 
Hi, if one sensor went bad the ECU is decalibrated, you need to recalibrate it which is not a killer, important is to get the vehicle to even heighs using the deflate/inflate functions several times with somebody to help by measuring the height from ground on plain terrain or two jacks under the body then when it's even all around prompt on "store heights", turn ignition off and wait 60 seconds before you unplug nanocom... you go to SLABS- Utility for that ...if it's not clear enough just ask for more info

I will try SLABS-Utility in the morning and hope that I can find the deflate/inflate buttons. The only air suspension screen that I have seen on the Nanocom previously is one that gives a height figure for each side of the suspension and two boxes for target heights.
 
Sounds like you were trying to calibrate the heights when you didn’t need to. If you disconnected the battery then fitted new sensors, it would have retained the already set heights when you reconnected the battery. You have Nanocom though so you will get there.

I have followed your reply and successfully set the heights of the rear suspension. Many thanks for your input.

I realised after I had tried to use the Nanocom that I probably didn't need to but it was a good learning exercise.
Interestingly I could adjust the heights after connecting the Nanocom while the ignition was off. I did subsequently turn the ignition on and off again to store the new settings.

Before I had a Nanocom I once set the height by heating and bending the plastic arm on the sensor. Cowboy stuff !!
