hi all,

If i am posting in the wrong area please let me know due to being new to this forum

I have a 300tdi auto with a manual pump and the problem I am having is that, all the fuses are ok and the relays seem to be to. when you put the key in the ignition no dash lights come on and doesn't start or do anything no ignition either so my first thought was a fuse being so instant nope, relay nope, then thought it could be the ignition switch on the back of the barrel that isn't it either because I have also switched that out to and it isn't that I have swapped the green box immobilizer too and still nothing, i have no power to the white cable on the ignition. any ideas
thank you

i do not have power to the ignition wires at all. fuse is good and got power both sides of the fuse so thats good and battery is fine and earthing point is all good and its a 1998 discovery

Download this https://docdro.id/hy3D4ZO and see the "starting and charging" circuit diagram and then in the "connector" section see that C220 and measure there for voltage on the N(brown) wire, if no voltage there check at the fusebox exit C114 cos it can be a contact issue within the fusebox... if you are not familiar with such docs read the "introduction". Good luck

no pics but it was the red wire that runs from the igniton fuse into the car it was a red wire and is in a loom so you just have to follow the wire easy wahy to find is a power probe and it tells you if the wire is a neg or pos and if its earthing out and thats how i found it and then followed it

check the crankshaft position sensor, the wires on my first rover broke and it wouldn't start but after replacing the wires it was golden :)
