Disconnected wire in battery box

Hi All!

Recently got my defender and loving it! I was cleaning the battery up a bit today and there was a wire goes into the battery box but was just disconnected. Anyone know what this could be to? Tried to follow it into the engine bay but couldn't find where it went.

Doesn't look familiar to me and I wonder about the way it has been run under the carpet. What sort of connector does it have in the battery box?

The only way you will be really sure is to trace it yourself, it must go somewhere and it is very difficult to hide a wire completely so I would go back and have a better look.

Its just two ends of bare wire - with a 10amp fuse though! It was tucked under a lot more than that but I pulled it out trying to find where it went. I'll have to have a look tomorrow - ran out of light!

Bare ended with a 10A fuse (in-line I take it) but not connected?

Could be for any type of aftermarket accessory.
Dig deep and ye shall find.

When I got.mine I found all sort of wires in bizarre places. Shouldn't hurt anything as long as is disconnected but as litchi days dig deep and ye shall find lol.

Is there a colour wire in the outer tube?
Ermm, otherwise leave it disconnected from the battery end.
