disco3 common faults and problems info needed

hi first post, looking into buying a disco3(sadly cant stretch to disco4) just wondered if there are any known faults or problems with them or what things to look for when buying one. i know lots of cars have niggles etc just wanted to know what im getting into, also whats the best model and spec to go for
