Anybody know where I could get a control unit for the windows
of a 95 disco?

Front windows have now given up the ghost. . .
Work sometimes - when feeling up to it

Pat Hi,

most probably it is just a case of bad soldering in the electronic board of
the window lift ECU.

have a look here on the procedure of how to fix it.

http://www.discoweb.org/

click on the "tech" button on the menu located on the upper side of the
first page and then when the "tech" menu appears on the left side of the
screen check the "rear electric window" article.

Happened to me too. Have a look on eBay for a replacement; I was lucky
enough to get one for £5, after my local mechanic told me it would be £60+
new. I've since been looking on eBay to see how often they come up (and
thinking of buying a spare one!) and have seen about two this year, but both
more like £15.

Tried to open my old one to have a look inside and maybe do the repair, but
after much swearing and rending of plastic, not to mention losing
screwdriver bits in the bulkhead somewhere, I've decided to put that one off
until I absolutely have to do it!

they're a bit of a tart to get out, but easy enough to repair once you get
it out.
