Disco V8 oxy sensor?

Just got my new diogmostic reader as I have an engine light come on.

Just read the codes and it's come back as a oxy sensor heater upstream cat bank 1 and the same for bank 2.

Can someone tell me what this actually means??

Ahhh thank you! Was getting all sorts up when googling so thought I'd turn to here. I take it there is two needed then?

If UK spec yes, just the two.
NAS spec have four one before and one after each cat, I believe the Japanese spec is similar but then maybe not

If you have four (check the exhaust) then you have a NAS spec engine with a few other differences.

When four are fitted, they are different types front and rear.

Finally got around to sorting this today - they really were a pain to get out. A few hours later, all sorted and new ones fitted. Running perfectly. Thanks for the help!
