Hi, I'm just starting a tray back project to make a CCV trial car. Its a Disco 1 approx 1993 with a V8i
I would like to remove the original fuel tank and fit a smaller tank on the tray back, but as the fuel pump in the tank I'm not sure how to pump the fuel from a smaller tank.

I don't really want to manufacture a smaller tank to accept the original pump assembly. Is there a smaller tank that is suitable that will take the original pump assembly but doesn't need modifying? Or do I need a small tank and external in lime pump?

I have seen smaller fuel tanks on fleabay (outboard motor speed boat kind of thing) but not sure how to go about pumping fuel to the V8. I know inline pumps exist, but what kind of pressure, volume would I need?

Has anyone come across this issue and if so how did you resolve it?

Any ideas are most welcome!

Thanks, Simon

Facet inline pumps and a fuel pressure regulator is the standard job on a modified mk1 or 2 escort mate they don't have a place to fit one in the tank so an external one is needed when modified or engine conversion, hope this helps
