Hi Folks Im fairly new to this forum, just registered recently and i see there has been a few posts regarding humming/whining noises from PAS. On my disco TD5 I can only hear this noise on my car when in the cabin and when revs are idle up to about 1700 rpm. Also when turning the steering at low speed, i.e., in and out of the drive i get a loud noise which sounds like air in the system. My next thought is to replace the PAS pump. I have already replaced the ace pump and the drive belt (tensioner seemed to be fine so didnt change it). Most of the threads in here regarding this issue and replacing PAS pumps came to a dead end, the members saying they would come back with findings and results havent yet. My disco has always driven really well so this noise is starting to get on my nerves 
P.S. Anyone want to buy a used but good ace pump and valve block before they go on fleabay?
