today when travelling back from a family day out my disco fuel light came on then I lost all power and had to pull over.
when I got out it was clear that all the diesel had spewed out the tank and the whole back end of my disco was covered in diesel, (not good when I had just filled her up and washed n polished her thismorning!!!)
I had only done 66miles and was stranded!
had to join the AA to get recovered back home (£145 lighter)
anyway could any of you lads on here shed any light on what the problem might be???
when I switch the ignition on I can hear the pump/sender bubbling (no diesel to pump as its all over the road somewhere!)
could I be right in thinking that it may be as simple as a fuel line has come out/disconnected itself in some way and with the pressure of the pump emptied the tank rapidly?
or could it be a replacement sender/ pump that I need?
help please
