Disco Sport TailGate issue

Hi there

I’ve got a 2017 disco sport and when I open the boot the passenger tailgate is making a crunching noise. It’s working fine but is making a noise like it’s failing. I’m having my first baby in January so don’t want to get the pram stuck in the boot so wondering if people think it needs fixing or if it just needs oil etc.

if you can find a specialist and not a main stealer its cheaper or fit a used part.
