disco door

help my 1994 discoverys back offside door has jammed shut the handle seems to be working but it wont open any suggestions please.

Does it open if you pull the lock knob up as you pull the handle? If so, probably springs. If not, the mechanism inside the door probably needs adjusting. There's a rod mechanism arrangement with a thread adjustment. Either way, you need to take the door trim off and have a look.

Disco fault 1298.

You might get away with simply taking the LR badge off and WD40ing it all.

Or you will need to strip the panel off in the inside and work magic on the mech inside - google it or search here it's been done before.

It's a pain in the arse and now the dog sits in the front footwell!

Sorry, don't mean to picky, but that's the fix for the rear door.... As mentioned before for the passenger doors, either adjustment or new lock spring will fix this one.
