I have just bought my disco two days ago, still learning, but it only came with one set of keys and fob. Landrobber dealer wants 85 quid for fob and 90 quid to program it, talk about dick turpin at least he wore a mask when he took yer dosh. The keys are not chipped so most places can cut a set.

Here's my questions. There is a spider thing behind the dash which causes problems, and there are disc locks to replace the crap disco locks, so has anybody been here before.

If the spider is removed does the central locking still work, or the alarm, can the fob be purchased elsewhere and programmed by other means, or is it better to fit an aftermarked alarm system which would activate the central locking if removing the spider still allows that.

Need to make it reliable since I will be on own sometimes in the woods with chainsaws etc in back, so dont want my kit nicked. The last question is who makes good grills for the windows at a reasonable price.

Some info here on fob re-programming-

Good info on key fobs, big difference in price as well, will check with one of my agents Hannay electrics on Monday and see what they do when the system starts to play up and post it here.

If the system is poor then no point in wasting money I will look to replace the system for something reliable, and if it's as bad as it is expressed here then they will know the best way to get around it, and some prices.

will get back here on monday, thank's in the meentime.
