I just snapped a front half shaft (or screwed the diff), and bent the tie rod so much the tracking was toeing out by 3" for the 50mile limp home, which helped both the swivel seals pop (they're pitted anyway). I want to put a 2" lift on, so figured a 2nd hand axle might be cheaper/easier than renovating the original, looking at the prices I came across a couple of D1's with recent new swivels going cheap for spares... so

I'm debating getting a D1 and stripping it for spares. I don't have much idea what's worth keeping for my 1995 300tdi 90, and what's worth selling on. OK I have some Idea, Engine-gearbox-transfer box-axles, but what about prop-shafts, suspension, steering, brakes, etc. etc.

Is there a definitive list of compatible disco/fender parts? Can we make one if not?

If they've got same axles then shouldn't see why the suspension wouldn't fit. Early disco 1 chassis were near enough identical to fender ones with differences

Yep springs front radius arms ( depends on width, wide or narrow but if fitting axle off donor no problem ) rear trailing arms and shockers all compatible, as well as engine box and transfer box
