So I've got a 110 200tdi and a 300tdi disco and one has to go disco is rotten and defender engine is smokeing really bad So am I right in thinking that to put engine gearbox and transfer box over I just have to move the engine mounts and use the aniscroft selector shaft conversion? It's just I've seen loads of bits about changing prop shafts etc. The disco will be a doner for any bits it has and may even swap the axles as the swivels are better and could get discs on the back

yes you could ,this would be fitting the 300 and r380 box in the 200tdi position so the engine would sit 2 inches roughly further back in the engine bay than how lr fitted the 300 which was right up against the rad the same as v8 defender and disco, this may mean some mods to exhaust coolant pipes etc etc, but if you fit like lr you need to change props and seat box front ,tunnel floor plates and diaphragm, disco front prop fits as does the disco front exhaust pipe and rad intercooler including fram with a couple of mods

Ok and take the position from gearbox mounts which cross member disco or defender and does any one know how much the engine mounts need to move(and which way) or do most people offer it up then weld?
Thanks for the help rob
