Having bought my donor disco now, and am getting all the bits together to fit it all in my 90.

I would like to fit the discs on the back, from the disco. I was planning on transferring the whole axle.

My 90 has a 10 spline rover diff. The disco has a 24 spline rover diff with 3 bolt input flange.

I have been told that disco half shafts/axles are weaker than my 90 ones, is this true?

Also, will i need to worry about brake biasing with the new discs at the back, my 90 has a limiter valve fitted currently as standard, does this need playing with?
Thanks!

I think the general consensus is that 24 spline half-shafts are stronger than 10 spline ones.
You can swap the 4 bolt flange from your existing axle onto the Disco one (change the oil seal while you're at it).
I just fitted a T piece for the rear brakes on mine. At first the rear brakes were a bit fierce, but seem OK now they've bedded in.
