Im looking to fit the rear arches on my discovery soon when I finish healing after op. But I need to find some sealing strip but not sure where I can find it or what else I could use. I have searched but trumps up. Thanks all
 
If your talking about sticking the wheel arches on, 3M double sided tape is what's used, flea bay has loads.
Some people have used tiger seal, that works providing you never want to remove them again!!!
 
No I mean the little rubber strip that sits between arch and body panel around the lip. Im going to be using self tapping screws to fit them
 
I've just used this SATIN BLACK Car EDGE TRIM SEAL - Interior & Exterior - PVC Van Boat Truck# | eBay it's better than the stuff that came with my Flatdog arches, it's actually sticky inside to follows the contours better.

I ordered 5m but ran out on the last rear so I've had to order a bit more. 6m should do it but I'd get 7 to be safe.

It was awkward compared to the front because you have to cut (I used a slitting disc on an angle grinder) through the double skinned part of the door. I haven't done the rears on this one yet but I did my old Disco. It didn't look pretty until the arches went on I must admit :) I'll grab a photo of the old one later so you can see but basically I just hacked it with the angle grinder then filled the gap in the door with expanding foam and then painted the foam with silicone sealer using a paintbrush to waterproof it.

I did my old Disco. You need to be brave with the rear doors and just go for it. You cut out a load of metal as they are double skinned. It will look good when it's finished though.

Looks a tidy enough result at the end mate. Soon as ive finished recovering from my op il hopefully go on and start doing the arches, and make a wiring loom for the roof lights. Thanks for the pics though. Helps seeing before and after to get a better idea.
 
I think I posted somewhere else, the frist rear took me about an hour to do because I was worried about cutting too much off and ended up doing it three times. The second one took twenty minutes :)
 
When i done the fronts with the self tappers i always said when i do the rears id use rivets as the suspension i put on that disco was reeeally flexy lol .. Im sure i chucked the sealing rubber in the back with everything else. How you getting on with her anyway ? I do miss her sometimes lol
 
If your doors haven't been cut only cut the frame out and leave the skin where it is, once the frames cut to suit heat the skin around the bend and beat it round to meet the frame, that way there is no gaps, finish with a bit of seam sealer between the two and rivit together I'll stick a pic up of mine in a sec
