Disco 4

My passenger door on my Disco 4 2013 does not lock or open with the remote. I have to lock it manually before I lock the whole car remotely, otherwise I get a beep from the horn. To unlock the passenger door I have to do it manually as the remote will not activate it.
I had trouble with the passenger back window when it remained open half way. After a night with the window half open it decided to work again. Had no more trouble with that so far.
Can anyone help with the troublesome lock?

hi and welcome to the asylum

where the loom goes from the body into the door it's been known of a loose or bad connection

so if i'm reading it right , u have to remove the key door cover to use the key manually on the passenger door

does the window and electric mirrors work ok on that door , if u try and lock it with the remote can u hear the motor try and lock / unlock it

by the sounds of it u need to remove the door panel , check the wiring connections and that ur getting voltage to the locking motor or get a diagnostic reader plugged in to see what the live data is

will try and find the repair for u

will also find the part number for u , just in case i wish to just fit a new actuator , but of course need to double check if there is power there first, along with checking the latch assembly

Thanks Guys, It looks I have to take the door panel off and see what has come apart.
I can lock and unlock the door manually from the inside. It is just a nuisance at the time being.
