Does anyone here have any experience with the new Disco 3... either driving
or servicing. What have been teething problems with new model? Thanks Rich

Hi Rich, not meaning to blow my own trumpet, but I've got a site at
www.disco3.co.uk with over 200 registered users (the vast majority of whom
are Disco 3 owners) and a good bunch of guys who have real experience of the
new D3.

If you don't get an answer here please do drop by (or even have a look
anyway!)

Speaking as a D3 TDV6 S owner since January, I think it's absolutely
brilliant and would highly recommend one.
Speaking as a user of Martin's excellent BBS I would recommend you join and
have a look there. It renders this newsgroup almost redundant for D3
specific topics.

they are fantastic cars, but ours is currently jumping out of drive into neutral whilst on the go... a little worrying and land rover dealer has no real answers, just had new gear stick assembly so we'll se how that goes.

anyone else seen this before??

Here is the message that has just been posted:

hi in reply to the stick going stiff is the pivot pin underneath the car that
holds the change cable seizes up in the rain and causes the gearstick to become
stiff and when you engage a gear the cable bends instead of slides and pushes
the gearstick back hope that helps, great car to drive the auto no real problems
with gearbox but if i was you keep the 300 so much more reliable and cheaper to
run.
