Disco 3 front bottom ball joint

Hi can anyone tell me if they have done this job and if so what make part they fitted? I have removed my old ball joint thats failed mot! And come to insert my new ball joint and its not a tight fit in the hole? Ie if i insert it, it just drops out! If i get the old one that i have now cleaned up and insert that, its that little bit tighter, anyone any ideas please as my motor is currently off the road and on axle stands as i cant get another part till mon earliest?

I would say whole new arm is the safest way

You dont think it could be the part i have bought? Are they supposed to be really tight,

It does and so do other sites but no alot of info about what to do in my situation! Maybe buy a more expensive part? And hope that will fit better!

I fitted a leomforder one and it fitted ok

Plus 1 , buy a complete lower arm with all new bolts , will also req 4 x wheel alignment after

Is normally best to change both sides

Just bear in mind if it comes loose again you will have to do the whole lot again and it really is worth spending the few extra quid and doing the arm.

Bloke I work with changed his ball joint and had no issues, but he got the joint from Land Rover which may be a cheaper alternative than new arm and bolts etc?
