Well, they get alot of bad press. Why is that? As far as i can tell, they got a chassis, two steel axles and (most have) a diesel burner at the front, just like a proper land rover. No offence intended to the V8 crowd...
I ask because im spending alot on bits for my landy and spend alot of time under it, which isnt good when you have plans for expeditions. I have been thinking of trading it in for one of the last disco 1s, or an early TD5 disco as they seem to sell for next to nothing. Can you kit out a disco 2 with all the bumpers, lift kits (with cranked arms and wide yoke props ect.), winches and rock sliders? Or would a 300 disco be better, i would feel more at home with one anyway.
Any thoughs and/or constructivly directed abuse? Rich.
