do i need spring clamps or can i just jack it up to get the springs out of the front help please

Assuming it's the same as a Depender, then you don't need spring clamps.
Get the chassis up on axle stands and a jack under the axle. Lower the axle as far as you can without straining the brake flexi. The spring can then be eased out with the aid of a pry-bar.
I find it easier to unbolt the bottom spring seat and remove the spring and seat together.
Re-fitting is the same procedure.

Most awkward thing for me was re-fitting the HD springs ... same size as standard, but stronger wire, so harder to lever back in. We eventually used the disco bottle jack between the axle and chassis to spread it a little more. Gotta be careful, as T says, about the brake lines, but if like mine yours has anti roll bars then it doesn't droop fully if left to do so by gravity.

When fitting +2" HD springs to the 300tdi we just levered them in
Had already fitted extended brake hoses though so no harm done

LOL, I was on my own, using a four foot long pry bar, and the tension on the front spring was just getting too frightening ... that's when I decided to try to increase the distance ...
