disco 2 no more suspension problems

hi did the converation from air to coil,
best job ive done rides like a dream.
only problem had to tap out the 10mm holes where the mounting plate fits
then compress the springs really big bu--ers.
then took to local garage to have sls switched off.
all done in 2 hours great

good for you... now go and tell your insurance company!

hi there, im considering changing from airbag to springs, how is the ride compaired to how it was, wondered if you tow a caravan, and was it expensive to get sls switched off, do you have 7 seats,,, thanks steve

HI YEr really easy job to do .ride i think is better.
and yes i do tow a large caravan.
i changed mine to to beamach blue springs, the kit cost about 145.00 inc vat.
1 spring compressor and a 10mm tap to tap the threads in the plate when you remove the air springs.

what is the SLS ??

simon sls is the computer which runs the self leveling suspension.

they call is slabs self leveling and abs . ps if you need photo,s of the job i have them.

as Guinness said SLS = Self leveling Suspension

controlled by the SLABS ecu behind the glove box.
you have to get the SLS deactivated if you change to coils so the ecu dont start running up errors and trying to activate something that aint there...
