Nice looking suspension. Got a bit lost though among all the replicated pictures. Seems to be half a dozen each of the same set of pictures.

Moving forward gradually, serviced the rear breaks including new flexis and hard break lines from front to rear
and new tyres.

next up service front breaks , replace wiper blades, replace streo, pit in new fuel tank /pump/filter.
also the chassis has had a lot of Hammerite applied to buy time till a chassis replacment is needed.

at the end of last year we took her to her 1st RTV, finished every section of the day but had some issues.

A. somtimes the engine would stutter and almost stall but never quite did stall we thought at 1st the fuel pump was not keeping up but on further research

found the opposite and think it was pushing too much fuel so have now fitted a fuel pressure regulator.

B. the rear axle seemed to lack proper articulation and we think this was down to the HD +2" springs and lack of weight on the back end so have gone back to standard springs on the rear.

This weekend we have new issues. and 1st event of the year in 1 week.

Been sat for a while.
Battery charged.
Tried to start it and with key in position 2 the starter engaged.

So to get round that we have fitted a push button for starting in the starter solenoid trigger wire.

Now key in position 2 and button pressed the starter engaged but car dosent start.
We have fuel pressure.

I noticed yesterday the fob button to unlock only dose drivers door.

My possibility's seem to be.

Immobiliser, but I thought that killed fuel pump? (I am waiting on an EAK from LR)

Inertia switch seems fine and like the immobiliser I thought that killed the fuel pump?

Crank position sensor.

Xyz on gearbox. with key in position 2 it shows correct gear in the the dash for gear leaver position.

Fuel stop solenoid (if the V8 Has one, where is it located?)

I have checked every fuse in engine bay by the battery and in the drivers foot well all good.

Sadly I do not have a Nanocom.

Well we have solved this fueleing and starting issue.

when we cut off the back the original fuel tank and pump had to go,
So we got the tank seen in the pics above shown with its pump.

took it to an event and it ran but would periodically struggle which we thought was the pump not keeping up, upon further thought and info from this forum it was the opposite of too much fuel from the pump which would then stall the pump and lead to an almost stall of the engine.

so we fitted a pressure regulator.

unfortunately the damage was done already and the plugs were covered in crud from running rich.
so now with the regulator tuned to 50 psi and the plugs cleaned she runs sweet again.

We have replaced the rear +2" Heavy Duty springs with stock springs as the +2" isnt needed with the weight reduction and the stock springs are softer so should articulate better.

Today we will disconect the rear anti roll bar.
make sure to repair the battery clamp.
think about capstans for the recovery straps.

The Discovery did everything we expected of it today, a sucesfull shakedown day.
Lots of articulation in the rear axle and the v8 is running smoothly.
The dislocation on the rear springs even works.

May need a jet wash.

Discovery also available in white.

Now we need to get on with the rear load bed build ohh and get the windows working again.
