Hi, on occasion just to mock me my 2000 Discovery 2 sits down generally after the ignition is switched off, and the doors have been closed. I have changed the 2 rear bags, the compressor and valves, and both height sensors. I think it keeps lowering when it adjusts after the ignition is switched off. The only thing I think it can be now is the ECU, has anyone had experience of changing the Slabs ECU, and will I have to take it to be reprogrammed, once fitted to the vehicle?
I like the air suspension, and do not want to put coils on, but it is driving me slighly nuts!

Hi did you fit new rear air bags ? if you fitted second hand try this test, start the car and let the suspension level then switch off open the tail door and jack the vehicle up under the tow bar about 6 inches then let it down and remove the jack, if it carries on dropping new bags are needed.

If you end up fitting a new SLABS ecu it will need programming and calibrating.

Hello Simon, thanks yes I forgot to say the bags were new. I know it is not a bag related issue, as sometimes it goes for a few days with no problems, so that makes me think it is an ecu problem.

It is very rare for an ECU to cause this problem. check your height sensors and electrical connectors first.

Hello Simon, it had new sensors, with no effect, the plugs on them looked fine when I changed them. It sat down tonight, when my wife stopped it in the drive at home, but by starting it, it rose back up, and has stayed up.

Test your wiring from sensors to ecu, drag test the connectors, check continuity on ohms and check for shorts to earth. did you get the suspension recalibrated after you fitted the new height sensors ? also do the test with the jack mentioned earlier because your vehicle has the classic symptoms for a leaking air spring and I have seen new ones not sealing.

Hello Simon, I will do wiring test, and also the jack test. It never sits down on 1 side, just seems to dump the air, but if you start it, and get it to pump back up, it will sit for days without going down, so I can't see it being a bag, or it would always be going down, and the compressor would be working overtime.
