disco 1 hi/low box problem

Hello just thought i'd add this for anyone who needs a hand, i couldn't find the answer on any forums the other day so hope it helps someone out.. Used discovery 1 to tow a chain harrow, on going into low box i lost all drive.. had a bit of a panic.. pushed and pulled both gear levers and after some time managed to get into hi range but hi/low box lever was sloppy as if something broke somewhere, eventually removed centre console, disconnect handbrake cable , drill out rivets around gear levers and remove rubber gaitors, transfer box on driver side all linkage was intact, so started to worry a bit.. removed the top cover by removing 6 x 13 mm bolts and 14mm breather bolt also disconnected the linkage by removing clip and pin.. top cover then comes off inside is a shaft with the selector on the end the selector is held in place with an allen stud, which had worked loose.. so tightened up and reversed the procedure and now back on the road.. only without low box for two days but missed it so much..hope this helps
