Hi

have a L320 sdv6 2012 LHD French
just had an French MOT failure

dip beam does not conform with requirements
both lights dip but the form dosnt give any real info as to what is the problem
the test station will not enter in discusion about this
shining the lights against the wall shows the left thats offside in France beam is slightly higher than the right but i cannot see anyway to adjust them only a leaver to change from LHD to RHD

any one got any idear how to sort this

Never had anything to do with French MOTs, but i would guess it's either the aim too high or too low.
There will be adjustment under the bonnet somewhere

Just looked on mine , If there the same ur see 2 x round white adjusters , another thing I’ve seen is where the front of the headlight can come away from the plastic headlight lens

Also depends if there halogen, xenon or AFS , ur see the label on top of ur headlight specifying which type u have

hope that helps

Is it on xénons or halogens?
The xénons have a flat beem and will pass over here, the halogen won't unless there is a lever inside the headlamp that cuts off the top of the beam pattern. You can however fit beambenders onto halogen lights. ;)

hi
yes its passed last time but then thats not to say its good now
they also put a failure because the rear passanger door would not open from the outside
said this is because people would not be able to get in if an accident
but thats realy stupid cos when you pull away all doors lock so none would open
been like this for some time even the last Test keep meaning to do it but its a workup stripping the door to get to it
and its only sometimes if you open the door from the inside it good untill you double lock it again

hi

just wished to check was the above helpful to u in any way

know where ur coming from, had to also replace my rear door lock actuator’s , there are also a few tricks to make life easier, plus if there 1 or 2 piece door handles

indeed reason it’s a failure is in case of an accident , so anyone can then open the doors from the outside to gain access to anyone that’s hurt inside the vehicle
