Dilema: Keep or swap?

What's to do.... I have my '96 Tdi XS and have seen a rather nice '00 Td5 Millenium Edition for sale.
I'm very tempted to change, but what is the common opinion here? Is the Td5 a better car or is the seemingly more rugged and simple 300 Tdi the one to keep.....

If your purely on road go for the Td5. Ed Coblys got one y'know.

Swap. I was in the same position - my TDi XS was a '98 3 door which I sold then bought a TD5 almost 5 years ago now. All round, I find it a far better car and have not regretted the decision.

It's been hard to get 'bolt on bits' but they are starting to become more available.

The TD5 is far more refined. Very capable off road.

I do want to but mine seems it doesn't want to go!
A friend who had asked to be given 1st refusal on it was due to come over this weekend but the Disco has other ideas and has decided to create it's own on-board sauna by blowing a hole in it's heater matrix.
Another friend who is my local Landy specialist is fully booked and can't replace it for me until god only knows when , he is by-passing the heater as a temp fix until he can fit it in.
This of course also makes a big dent in my budget to buy the Td5.
