Diff pinion woes

Anyone got any other ideas. My rear diff had started leaking (which I've never had an issue with). I thought that the cover plate gasket and pinion oil seal had blown due to a damaged breather pipe. Replaced both today and also replaced the whole breather pipe, took it for a drive and on checking it there it's once again leaking from the pinion. Anyone any ideas on what could be causing it to leak past a brand new seal?

Maybe bad luck with regards to the seal. I fitted a Genuine flange and seal a couple of years ago, leaking again. Also had a seal fail in no time and others just fine. Good job the seals are cheap enough, try another one.
What do you use to knock them in, I bought a plastic seal fitting tool from Ebay.

The one I got looked pretty good quality, thankfully not britpart or the like. If it started leaking from the old one and now this new one then I'm inclined to believe there's something else going on but I'll double check the banjo bolt.
I use a piece of plastic drain pipe for seating them. Works a treat.
 
I have found that, in general, Corteco seals are pretty good and a reasonable price. I almost always buy two seals for any seal I may be changing, bound to need it in the future sometime.
 
Something is worn, must be.
If the seal is tight going in I can't see it being that seat although there maybe a score in the face thats allowing oil past however again, it's not under pressure so i'm not convinced that you wouldn't spot it when the old seal was out.

You could try sealing the seal with a sealant 🤣 - easy for you to say.
@Anaconda hits the nail on the head, Corteco seals are (IMO too) the best.
