Traction Control 
But Detroit do some nifty lockers....still at a price though....
Most Range Rover since 1993/4 had a form of Traction Control to prevent wheel slip.

er, its for a classic rangy, no fangled traction control here, . . .apart from my right boot !. . . my question still stands !

Maybe if you had said it was for a Classic in your first post then my answer would have been tailored for your needs.....so in similar vain, my answer to your original post still stands.....
Now I know you are talking Classic, then Detroit lockers are good, ARB are great but pricey as you say......
Ashcroft Transmission do lockers at around £500....
