Diff guard

are front diff guards supposed to be welded on

trying to remove mine as it interferes with my steering:doh: it's a clamp on one and i've removed top bolt but it won't shift and it looks like theres little spots of weld in about 4 places:doh:

am i going to be able to get the effing thing off without damaging the diff casing and do i got for big hammer or get someone on it with a grinder?

burn em off with precision lamp or good old file it burd...

Crow bar in the opening, will take some doing if its been on a while, smack it a few times with a big hammer to break any rust seals, it will give eventually

got hubby on it this morn and with crowbar and big hammer it did indeedy fall off, sadly it missed his foot lol
